Live Healthy Dallas Wellness Challenge, a 100-Day Challenge for area employers to jump start healthy habits among employees. Last year, the first annual Live Healthy Dallas Wellness Challenge motivated local employees to lose over 8,600 lbs and track over 330,000 miles. Baylor Health Care System is among the many companies who were part of last year’s inaugural challenge and are eager for the upcoming kick-off. “Last year a group of over 1800 employees of Baylor Health Care participated in Live Healthy Dallas; it was a wonderful experience that was enjoyed by all. We are so excited to begin the second year and plan to exceed all of our accomplishments with even higher goals and more participants” says Leia Spoor, Wellness Manager at Baylor. “This program is a great opportunity to motivate all employees to better themselves; it also serves as an invaluable team building experience. It’s good to see employees motivate and encourage each other. Live Health Dallas is truly a win-win situation for all whom are involved, employees and their employers.”
Chamber members Parkland Hospital, The Beck Group, American Cancer Society, University of Texas at Dallas, Ernst & Young, Southwest Office Systems, Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Field, Baylor Health Care System, Holmes Murphy, Dallas Apartment Assoc., Children’s Medical Center, American Red Cross, and many other companies will participate in the 2009 Challenge.
