Event Description: In 2006, Dr. Gretchen M. Bataille became the 14th president of the University of North Texas and the first woman in the university's 116-year history to hold the position of chief executive officer. A recognized scholar of Native American literature, her professional career has focused on issues of diversity, civil rights and ethnic studies.
