Dallas-Fort Worth: A World Capital of the Future
Unlike most advanced countries, the population of the United States is projected to grow considerably in the coming decade and, according to census projections, will be home to four hundred million Americans by 2050.
Today, Dallas-Fort Worth has been one of seven U.S. metros among the Global 100 fastest growing areas since 1975. Our population growth has been driven by job growth that attracts both domestic and international migrants into the region. The Dallas Regional Chamber’s benchmark study, Global DFW, noted that the Dallas-Fort Worth area is well-positioned for economic growth and
new opportunities, and our long-term economic strength and global competitiveness is fundamentally tied to this projected rise in population.
Come hear Joel Kotkin as he continues the Global DFW conversation and discusses what the regions place in the emerging global environment will be.
